Best Blender Ice Cream Winner – Blendtec Blender Beats Vitamix
Best Blender Ice Cream
Winner Blendtec
Blendtec was a clear winner in the Ice Cream Blend Off versus the Vitamix, Nutribullet, and Ninja Blenders… BUT How?
How did the Blendtec Ice Cream come out better than the Ice Cream from a Vitamix Blender – Nutribullet Blender and Ninja blender?
We have come to the conclusion that because of the unique dull blade square jar design Blendtec has manufactured which separates Blendtec blenders from any other blender in the high power blending industry, Blendtec was able to produce the best textured Ice Cream amongst these 4 fantastic high power blenders.
One thing you’ll notice when looking at the differences between Blendtec vs Vitamix – Nutribullet vs Ninja – blender models is that Blendtec is the only blender that has a square jar – dull blade – design, which has been patented by Tom Dickson, founder of Blendtec, and star of the Will it blend videos. It’s unique design creates a vortex with everything inside the jar, which causes all ingredients to get pulled down into the Blendtec blades which makes for easier blending. The Blendtec blender is also equipped with a responsive automatic ice cream button which is able to slow down, speed up, and stop on it’s own. Many times the Blendtec blender is able to make the best blender ice cream all by itself, but sometimes it’s needs a good shake to finish the job. There was absolutely no chunks what-so-ever in this ice cream blend, every little piece of ingredient was broken down.
We used the exact same ingredients in all 4 blender models choosen for the Blendtec vs Vitamix – Nutribullet vs Ninja Ice Cream blendoff. We discovered that each blender produced a slightly different taste and texture.
Best Blender Ice Cream Results
- The Vitamix blender with the big Low Profile Container left a few pieces of fruit in the blend and didn’t liquify the ingredients as throughly as the Blendtec blender wildside jar was able to do. The Ice Cream consistency from the Low Profile Container was also not as smooth, which is funny because both have a 4 inch blade and are similar style containers. For a smoother ice cream consistency we think the Vitamix Standard 64oz Container does a better job because of the narrower base.
- The Ninja Mega Blender left a bland tasting icy ice cream, with larger ice chunks and fruit chunks in the ice cream blend. The Ninja blender performed the poorest from the 4 blender models in the ice cream blend off. The taste was bade and it didn’t get blended well.
- The Nutribullet Rx, seemed to have liquified the ice cream blend into a smoothie rather than turned it into an ice cream. The taste which comes from Nutribullet blends are great, but since the Nutribullet only has 1 speed, it’s tough to make Ice Cream recipes because the Nutribullet is only able to run at a fast speed, which doesn’t work for ice cream blends.
Best Blender Ice Cream Automatic Feature Differences
A Big BIG BIG bonus to the Blendtec blender design is the automatic features that comes on the Blendtec blender interface. It’s capable of running blend cycles automatically so you can simply push a button and walk away. Blendtec blender models come with different features; you’ll want to buy a Blendtec blender with the automatic ice cream button, it is a very responsive and you can simply push the button and walk away; futhermore, the Blendtec automatic blend cycle slows down, speeds up, and stops on it’s own, and is able to make ice cream very quickly.
- Vitamix blenders also come with an automatic feature for blender ice cream, but the Vitamix automatic ice cream blend cycle is not as quick to change speeds and although is similar to the Blendtec ice cream feature, it didn’t make the ice cream is smooth and blended.
- The high powered Ninja blender doesn’t offer automatic features so it was a little more difficult to produce an ice cream. The different ninja blender models offer different blender interface features, we used the Ninja Mega Blending System with 1500 watts, which had 3 choices for blending, but did not offer an automatic feature which can change speeds, or stop by itself. The Ninja Blender seemed to just spin everything around inside the jar, it doesn’t work like a Blendtec blender or Vitamix blender in regards to how all the ingredients come down into the blades. The Ninja Mega blender more or less spins everything in a circle and bounces the ingredients up and down the pitcher where 3 sharp blades slice through and break down ingredients. The consistency for the Ninja Blender ice cream was chunky and icy and tasted bland.
- The Nutribullet Rx has only 1 option for blending, which is it’s automatic fast speed blend cycle, it starts fast, and during mid cycle slows down for about 10 seconds, then speeds back up to finish the blend. It runs for around 60 seconds and is a really powerful for making smoothie recipes, juicing recipes, Hot Soup recipes, it works fantastic, but since Ice Cream Recipes require lower speeds, and more precision, and are known to be more difficult to make, the one speed option which Nutribullet offers makes it more difficult for you to make a thicker ice cream recipe.
